Story Makers is a stunning family home situated in a quiet village on the north coast of Caithness. This detached 5 bedroom property is in walk-in condition and has recently been redecorated throughout. The views particularly from the first floor living room look out over the Atlantic, from Dunnet Head to Orkney's Old Man of Hoy, with open countryside all around.
The property consists of a large kitchen/diner, porch with boot room, utility room, reception room/bedroom, WC, self-contained annexe with a bedroom and bathroom, all on the ground floor. The first floor comprises of a large lounge with a fully windowed gable wall with panoramic views out to sea, 4 bedrooms, bathroom, en-suite and dressing room
From the front Porch and boot room, the main hallway has a reception room/bedroom to the right, stairs to the first floor, bathroom, and to the left is the kitchen.
The large kitchen is the hub of the house with plenty of cupboards and worktops, and an island with gas cooker and ovens. The floor is solid wood. The dining area has enough room for a sizeable dining table and has French doors opening out onto a patio which is also a nice sun trap.
Next to the kitchen is the utility room where the boiler is also housed. Going through the utility room is the annexe which could be used as an Airbnb or a Granny flat. The bathroom here is still to be installed but all the fixtures and fittings are there and the wet wall has already been installed.
The main living room is situated above the garage on the first floor where the windowed gable-end reveals its awesome view out over the Pentland Firth. A split staircase gives access to the living room to the rear of the property and to the landing and other bedrooms to the front.
Bedroom 3 is currently used as an office.
The garden is laid to grass and wraps around the property with two garden sheds included. The patio is outside the kitchen and provides a lovely suntrap for sitting out, barbeques, etc.
The property benefits from oil central heating and has gas bottles to run the cooker and hob in the kitchen.
